Here is a view that most of us rarely get to see. This is 1958 Lee Gibbs Concertone by Kay for Montgomery Wards with the back removed for repair. Here is a clear view of the quality construction that is most often credited to Gibson, Martin and other high end guitar makers of the day!

This Goldtop beauty came in with a damaged back which has been removed and repaired. Having the back off the guitar greatly aids repairing loose bracing, a common problem in older guitars, and all braces have been re-glued. All that remains is replacing the back and binding and plug in and play! Note that this guitar shares switches, controls and tailpiece (not pictured) with the famous Kay K-161 Jimmy Reed guitar.
